Municipality of La Florida seeks to urbanize the entrance to Bosque Panul
In March 2019 Rodolfo Carter met with various real estate companies at the forum and cocktail event "Real Estate Development: La Florida, one of the municipalities with the greatest growth potential in the Metropolitan Region." At that event he offered three points for real estate development in Bosque Panul — something the mayor denied, and, as is his habit, branded us liars.
One of the three points involving Bosque Panul that were presented on that occasion by the mayor was located above the Pablo Apostol school. Now, this private school has suddenly closed, catching hundreds of families off guard and leaving them without enrollment. This fits with the suspicion that the mayor will support construction at the foot of Panul.
We find this situation serious, and the mayor must explain why he offered this school and its surroundings to real estate developers before its closure. In the meantime, the community is preparing to stop any attempt to damage the ecosystem. The entrance to Parque Panul is off-limits.
