First, a couple of clarifications are needed: A Public Hearing is an event in which only those presenting the amendment to the Municipal Zoning Plan speak, followed by the councilmembers — reducing citizen participation to the submission of written observations. The second clarification is that, as expected, Mayor Rodolfo Carter was not present at the hearing, which was chaired by Councilmember Marcelo Zunino (RN).

In the face of the shameless and insolent Zoning Plan amendment promoted by Mayor Rodolfo Carter, we raise our voices: after more than five years of fighting against the companies that want to destroy Bosque Panul, the will of La Florida's residents and friends of the forest has been categorically expressed. We will not accept any real estate projects whatsoever in Panul; we must eradicate real estate profit from this place and build a gathering point for the community.
